			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Gucci recently launched its Gucci Immersive Retail Experience initiative that will see interactive digital signage systems deployed progressively to Gucci&#8217;s flagship stores around the world over the next two years.  The Immersive Retail Experience initiative went live for the first time in Gucci&#8217;s flagship store on Sept. 21, the first day of Milan Fashion Week and the day when Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini presented her Spring/Summer 2012 women&#8217;s collection.</p>
<p>The OOOii Real Time servers that have been developed to drive all of the displays have been designed to be massively scalable to allow for immersive experiences throughout the store. The technologies that are being installed not only allow ultra-high resolution 4k and 5k imagery to be displayed across the numerous high-resolution Planar displays, but in a second phase will also give a customer the ability to interact with the content in intuitive ways.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[This XL event will bring some great national and international speakers to the stage; Dave August of OOOii will talk about his use of Flash in JJ Abram’s Star Trek, as well as his creative input to movies such as Fast &#038; Furious.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Adobe User Group XL is an initiative of the Association Adobe User Group Netherlands. <strong>Adobe User Group Netherlands</strong> The Netherlands is an Adobe User Group community of more than 3,800 creative professionals, all members of the association. The aim of the association is to share knowledge, inspiration and networking. The community is completely independent, with the help of sponsors. There are six to eight meetings per year of data. Becoming a member is free and gives access to the regular meetings, held in the Silent warehouse.</p>
<p>This XL event will bring some great national and international speakers to the stage; Dave August of <a href="http://www.ooo-ii.com/"><strong>OOOii</strong></a> will talk about his use of Flash in JJ Abram’s Star Trek, as well as his creative input to movies such as Fast &amp; Furious. Tobias Mannewitz of <a href="http://karakterconcept.com/"><strong>Karakter</strong></a> will be there and with work on projects for Spellbound, EA Games and SCEE this promises to be a session not to miss! Anita and Geoff from <a href="http://www.champagnevalentine.com/"><strong>Champagne Valentine</strong></a> will amongst other great things talk about an interactive music video they created for Placebo.  Adobe will give you insights in their products and tooling with such international renowned speakers / evangelists as <a href="http://www.sergejespers.com/"><strong>Serge Jespers</strong></a>, <a href="http://blogs.adobe.com/jlevmedia"><strong>Jason Levine</strong></a> and <a href="http://www.mad.com.au/"><strong>Paul Burnett</strong></a>. If that’s not enough, Niko Stumpo of <a href="http://www.hanazuki.com/"><strong>Hanazuki</strong><strong> </strong></a>will be talking about the studio’s new work together with Mark Barzinski of <a href="http://www.barcinski-jeanjean.com/"><strong>Barzinski and Jean Jean</strong></a>. Dirk Groten of <a href="http://www.layar.com/"><strong>Layar</strong></a> fame will be talking about the Layar platform, something I’m looking forward to find out more about. Last but hopefully not least, I was honored to get an invitation to speak, and I will be talking about my latest forays into realtime flash.</p>

This year, Kent Demaine was asked to speak on behalf of OOOii on our approach to next generation content in the VR/AR space.  The challenging nature of this new evolving space has led OOOii to structure the company as a hybrid of VFX, VR, Interactive, and Gaming companies.  This methodology allows us to build content created with emerging technology while maintaining aesthetic quality and user experience. This discussion went into the different advantages and lessons learned by these industries, which can now be applied to creating this new category of content.]]></description>
